Fortune's Feline • 1 year ago

Oh gosh, I could feel the need for a napkin or just something to get rid of that stickiness! X(

Sorry, it's my own issue, I quite dislike that feeling myself.

When I'm still eating it's fine, but afterwards, nay.

Kirito • 1 year ago

Akira • 1 year ago

She is so stupid, my least favourite but I think he is going to end up with her just because tho

OfficialDrixMalone • 1 year ago

Well I hope many learned that some kids can turn out retarded (like Erika) from being too rich/wealthy lol. Guess it's kind of like flipping a coin πŸͺ™ to see if they're affected by this curse or not, like the Targaryen curse from "Game of Thrones" smh. But damn son, she DUMB AF!!

I just actually watched a short video on foreigners and some Japanese trying to use cards at places like that, that are known to only take cash. He said Japanese think it's common sense to know don't use cards at events like this and get annoyed by such stupidity. Though I wouldn't call it "common sense" since most foreigners wouldn't know of a unwritten rule unless told, or knew from traveling there before or thoroughly researched about it, so I'd give most the benefit of the doubt.

Akira • 1 year ago

But you see a stall made out of wood and try a card lmao 😭

K boy • 1 year ago

Hmm it seems like it's going down the harem rute but it's a possibility since he obviously has feelings for her

XanKaBoi • 1 year ago

Don't even know how to react.

Kirito • 1 year ago

The guy in the gold fish was like πŸ™…

Matt90210 • 1 year ago

Some do have credit cards and by now they should have credit card accessories to attach to their phone for that stuff

Fortune's Feline • 1 year ago

If she wasn't so sincerely shocked about it...anyone else would could have completely made that into a flex......or maybe the fact that she genuinely IS shocked is a worse flex...hmmm

also I'm still pulling for our boy, hope he returns soon.

What happened to turnup boy?

Fortune's Feline • 1 year ago

Judgement knows better than I do, but apparently Rutabaga's account was banned because he was goofing around and making fun of some Bot comments and parodying them and somehow he ended up getting banned because of it. I hope they unlock his account again soon though, been a couple days now. :(

#JusticeforRutabaga

Captain trips • 1 year ago

He could just make a new account people will find him again and he was unique enough of a poster that we would know the real rutabaga

Fortune's Feline • 1 year ago

You have a point, and it seems that was that was discussed as well, but it was concluded/ mentioned that he would still be sacrificing his accumulated upvotes and comment record etc.. among other things and he has put quite a bit of effort into that....plus he is bound to run into people who don't know who he is eventually, so being recognizable as "Our Rutabaga" wouldn't always work.....then again...if they don't know him to begin with it really wouldn't matter much to a new acquaintance anyways honestly.....unless they checked out his profile for some reason I suppose.

Anyways, I hear ya, there's pros and cons to either choice really.

Captain trips • 1 year ago

I don't think people care about upvotes on discus, at least I don't. I mean it's not Reddit so other than his comment history he wouldn't really lose out on much. To be honest if I see you poster with a lot of votes I usually do a double take to make sure they are not a bot.
Losing comment history sucks though

Fortune's Feline • 1 year ago

I hear ya, I still use upvotes to show appreciation and recognition of another persons commentary or view or even the person in general. For instance, you'll notice I upvoted your comments to show I appreciated your posting them. It's a small gesture of respect. That's just me though, I would imagine everyone views them differently, which is fine, we're all different afterall. In regards to the comments, yeah you'd want those saved probably, but then again, it all depends on the person, either way it's a crummy situation to have to deal with for what seems like something that was merely misinterpreted and ended up leading to a pentalty, so I hope things are resolved in an expedient and favorable manner for him soon.

Satoshi Ookami • 1 year ago

But I get her.
Personally, I haven't had any cash on me for the last few years since I always pay by card/mobile.
At least I do remember to bring cash when going to the festival :D

local taxi service here has his smartphone and a card swiper with him since 1 month after he started his business. he and his wife were the first 2 drivers and they only had 1 leased mini-van. 1 year later, he has four drivers, four card swipers, three new vehicles, and that mini-van. he only drives to give one of them a day off. his wife only runs the office and dispatching now instead of driving too. he's pulling in over $10k every 3 months in profits, not net income but profits.

i rode with the husband and had to fork over a $20 bill the first month they were operating because my Dodge was in the shop for front passenger airbag recall repairs. next time i saw him was around 6 months later when my Dodge was yet again in the shop this time for steering wheel airbag recall repairs. he swiped my debit card easy peasy that time. third time i ran into him at the local mall 1 year and a half later after the 2nd ride and he still remembered me, "Oh the Dodge guy! How's your car!?" so we talked for around 20 minutes about his business and how it was growing. ;) he even tried to recruit me as a driver... but i had a good job at the time with a baaad schedule so... it wasn't in the cards. :D

so, when you're running a small business and you ONLY take cash? you. are nuts! :D

Captain trips • 1 year ago

$40k is chicken shlt for a husband and wife to rake in annually, let alone a company.

LesK • 1 year ago

yeah, but considering our County only has a population of 116,441 that is a pretty damn good income for six employees running a small-time taxi service.

Captain trips • 1 year ago

Im sorry, I assumed burgerland, just as burgerbros tend to do. I'll take my demerit

TenseiSensei • 1 year ago

Surprisingly... I think depending on where you go you might be able to pay with card.

Though cash for those types of events seems far far more reasonable.

K boy • 1 year ago

But she did have some cash did she just forget about it or....

MeguminExplosion • 1 year ago

Hey! Imagine how much they would make if all they did was buy a card reader. its 2022! Venmo the stall owner.

OfficialDrixMalone • 1 year ago

Sorry but wtf does 2022 got to do with anything?? I keep hearing people always saying, it's 2022 this, it's 2022 that, etc...for ANYTHING, but it doesn't have shii to do with it. Though I guess yours would kind of be relevant, still, 2022 doesn't mean anything since people still prefer cash over cards πŸ€·πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ.

yoyogamer • 1 year ago

More than 37% of respondents said their No. 1 preferred or favorite payment method is cash. This was followed closely by debit cards at over 36% and by credit cards at 22%.Oct 23, 2019.

If people prefer cash I would have to say barley. Judging by these statistic's, stats don't lie. Card is just so much more coinvent for the consumer. And using card over cash is definitely more accepted epically in the US. But a mix of both would definitely be the best. Epically since at restaurants and stuff they charge you more since the card companies charge fees.

LesK • 1 year ago

the problem with surveys is... whom did they survey, how did they perform the survey, how many questionnaires were sent out/how many respondents were asked, how many responded to every question, how many responded to zero or only 1 or 2 or 3 or more questions, where the survey was centered/located, what was the exact wording of every question... the list goes on and on and on.

i've taken both Statistics 101 and a Research Methods in Criminology 300 level course... annnnd both taught me that reading the 'published results' of surveys is nigh on useless. you've got to read the ENTIRE pile of data and not just listen to some journalist. they're all trying to nibble at the truth and regurgitate keywords and hot-button subject matter to sell advertising time/space on their TV network or blog or newsbyte agency online.

"Liars don't figure, and figures don't lie." is SUCH a dangerous and dated idea to just blindly follow. ;) didn't Sucker-born every minute-berg testimony several times before the US Congress about Facebook convince you of this? he just simply LOVES influence peddling, algorithms, selling user info, false information, mis-information, purposefully putting forth his personal agenda... these are all a giant part of why he's still holding the reins of Facebook. he just loves being a megalomaniacal cyber-powermonger. :D

yoyogamer • 1 year ago

yes but taking a bunch of surveys, and compiling them together. WIll give you the best estimate to what the general public believes. It's not guaranteed. But its one of the best ways of predicting that is available

LesK • 1 year ago

hmm. yeah. it is pretty much a good idea. if it is done correctly. if it isn't? it is entirely possible to completely ruin and influence the target 'audience' perceptions of what 'the rest of us' think on a subject.

Captain trips • 1 year ago

>If people prefer cash I would have to say barley
WRONG! Barley is nowhere near the correct answer for those who prefer cash
The world's most valuable cash crop is cannabis. It is followed by rice, maize, and then wheat.
